Foam Party FAQs – Everything You Need to Know Before You Book

Foam parties are great on a hot, sunny day. Foam parties are great on a cool, cloudy day. Foam parties are even great in a drizzle. The only weather to avoid is a rain storm, extreme wind and freezing cold. If the weather is unsuitable on the day of your event, we’ll be happy to reschedule, no problem. (Just let us know before we head out to your event.)

For almost all one-cannon events (like a birthday party in your yard), there's nothing to worry about—a dedicated normal power outlet is all we need. (So please make sure it's not the same circuit that's powering something else.) For events with multiple cannons, best practice is to have a dedicated 15 or 20 amp circuit for each cannon. Without this, in rare cases it's possible we'll need to turn off one cannon to get sufficient power to the other.

Sometimes power isn't available where you want your foam party——in those cases we can absolutely use your generator. We require at least a 4000W generator per cannon, as we need to power at minimum our cannon and pump.

We empower our operators to make their own playlists—it’s cruel to make someone listen to “High Hopes” by Panic at the Disco nine thousand times a summer.
But our playlists feature hits from today, hits from the early 2000s, hits from the 90s, and some stuff even older than that. Every song is radio-clean.
Plus we take requests, so if your birthday child wants only Taylor Swift… your guests are gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake.

We’d love to let you pick a time, click, and book, but we have to have a human double check bookings before we can put them in our calendar.
That’s because we’re working with schedules for sometimes as many as 11 foam cannons going out on a busy day, each one accounting for travel time between events.
We haven’t yet found software that can do this… but we have some humans who are pretty good at it!

Fill out the contact form, and we’ll check our availability for your desired date and time. If it’s open, we’ll send a link that lets you pay with a credit card to lock in. Otherwise we’ll send some alternate times and help find one that works for you.

About 100 gallons an hour.
What about your utility bill? Every city charges its own rates for water, but as a typical example, in Naperville this would cost about 13 cents. In Chicago, where water rates are relatively high, it would still cost less than 50 cents.

Yes! It’s made of air, water and the main ingredient in organic children’s bubble bath (it’s probably in every shampoo and toothpaste in your bathroom). But it’s not actually soap, which means it’s gentle, allergen-free and eco-friendly. It’s literally good, clean fun.

Our foam is safe for lawns, grasses, flowers, trees, water systems, pets, wild animals, and (of course) humans of all ages. It’s 99% water by weight so foam will make things wet—but that’s about it.

You won’t have to lift a finger!
When all the bubbles pop, usually 10-30 minutes after the cannon turns off, clean-up is done.

For small events (up to 30 in the foam), rates start at $349 for 45 minutes or $399 for 60, with additional time prorated at $200 an hour. It’s $99 to add UV Moon Glow and black lights for foam parties after sunset.
In rare cases there may be a travel fee.
For larger events, reach out so we can figure out how best to serve you—once you get over 30 people in the foam, your event may need extra foam solution, or a bigger foam cannon, or even multiple cannons and multiple operators.

All ages! Foam parties are the rare party entertainment that babies and toddlers can enjoy along with big kids and teenagers. And you, a grown-up, will be tempted to get in, too—we have lots of foam parties where there are more adults in the foam than kids!

We bring everything for your foam party but the water—including sound system and .75 horsepower Foam Cannon. (Vroom vroom!)
We hook up to your water source and electrical outlet. (We bring more than 50 feet of hose and extension cords.)
You and your guests have a blast in the foam.
We clean and pack everything up. The foam goes away on its own within a few minutes of our departure.

We need access to a working hose hookup, a working electrical outlet, and a big open area within 50 feet of the hose hookup and outlet. We’ll handle everything else.

The foam party should be within 50 feet of the water hookup and electricity, on a grass or pavement surface that’s been cleared of toys, furniture, etc. Your backyard is great, and flat paved surfaces work better than a sloped driveway. Sports courts and artificial grass are perfect when available. For foam parties over 60 minutes, non-grass surfaces are preferred.

A lot of people wear swim suits, but if you dress comfortably for the weather you’ll have a great time at the foam party.

It’s AWESOME.
For events after dark, we put a UV-sensitive additive in the foam, then set up black lights that make it look like the foam is glowing neon yellow.
Every picture of UV Moon Glow Foam looks like it’s been photoshopped, but that’s how it looks in real life. It’s insane.
